Welcome to the Anderson Mill Parks & Recreation Department website. This site is an introduction to the recreational facilities that make the Anderson Mill neighborhood a wonderful place to live and to raise a family. Through the Online Enrollment page of this site, you may securely pay your annual facility fees and enroll in the many aquatics programs and other events which we offer.
Neighborhood Assets Anderson Mill offers residents a wide variety of recreational facilities. 60 acres of parks and greenbelts meander through the district along drainage areas. Six neighborhood parks with safe, modern playground equipment can be found along those greenbelts. Connecting neighborhoods, parks, and area schools are nearly six miles of hike and bike trails.
Aquatic Facilities Anderson Mill's aquatic facilities and programs draw more than 200,000 people through the gates of our two pools annually. Our summer Learn-to-Swim Program has more than 900 students each year. Classes span all skill levels from Tot Beginner to Competitive Diving. Also available are water aerobics, competitive stroke, fitness training and lifeguarding classes. In the winter, the water is heated to 83 degrees, so even the cold-blooded can be comfortable. Fitness swimming continues throughout the winter.
Fitness, Soccer, Softball & Tennis Adjacent to El Salido Pool is the Anderson Mill Fitness Center. An assortment of free weights, weight machines, treadmills, bikes and other equipment is available for members on a pay-per-visit basis. The soccer and softball practice fields can be reserved for use by area teams during the Fall and Spring. The four sets of lighted tennis courts are available to keyholders and their guests for a minimal annual fee. Keyholders can sign up on reservation sheets or play on a first-come basis.
